Abstract (EN)

Earthquake safety of existing buildings has gained considerable importance after earthquakes. Performance analysis has been widely used for evaluation earthquake safety of existing reinforced-concrete structures. This study has focused on the consistency of methods related to determination of earthquake performances of reinforced concrete buildings which have been developed in recent years and which are also included in earthquake regulations. In this thesis, 5-story according to Turkish Earthquake Code (TEC-2007) with a regular axle system, consisting of a new reinforced-concrete frame building carrier system designed and are considered to be an existing building to apply alternative analysis methods and intended to make a comparison between them. The building information level is selected as the comprehensive knowledge level. The analyses were carried out using the Seismostruct software program. Eigen value analysis, response spectrum analysis, static analysis, pushover analysis, dynamic time analysis, incremental dynamic analysis and static time analysis have been performed for the selected reinforced-concrete building which is in software. Information about this analysis and the results were compared. The purpose of the study is to provide information on these methods and to set forth the relation they have between them.
