Abstract (EN)

Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi is the founder of the Mevleviyye Sect. he was born in 604/1207 in the city of Balkh in Khorasan. His real name is Muhammad b. Muhammad b. Hussein al-Belhi. The name"Mevlana" was given to him by his lovers. "Mevlana" means our lord and was said to refer to his superior qualities. His father Bahaeddin Veled (v.628/1231) gave him the title of "Hudavendigar", which means sultan. Mevlana Shamsi Tabrizi, who saw a very good degree of knowledge collection (v.645/1247) after meeting him, he became a famous sufi who followed the path of Sufism and talked about him both during his lifetime and for centuries afterwards. The love of Mevlana, whose fame encompasses the whole Muslim-non-Muslim humanity, has spread all over the world, crossing the borders of the country. So much so that UNESCO has declared 2007 as the World Year of Mevlana. Even today, Mevlana is a sufi who is loved by all segments of society, whose views are appreciated, especially on the axis of love and tolerance, and whose teachings attract people who are interested in Sufism.
