Abstract (EN)

The effect of Vesicularia dubyana (Brotherus), a macrophyte on some parameters of slaughter house wastewater was investigated. In order to achieve this goal, the macrophyte was left into the slaughter wast water that was experimentally arranged to have different concentration (10%, 25% and 40%) values. Between October 2018 and December 2018, the average values of some parameters, depending on the application groups, for the solutions in 10%, 25% and 40% concentration, respectively; turbidity (4,27, 11,22 and 48,93 ntu), alkalinity (8,48, 93,27 and 134,69 mg/L), the phosphate (2,01, 24,98 and 2,38 mg/L), calcium (81,10, 78,20 and 30,87 mg/L), the silica (14,38, 2,63 and 19,74 mg/L), the nitrite (7,70, 18,70 and 14,90 mg/L), nitrate (2,86, 5,17 and 5,73 mg/L), ammonia (0,56, 0,56 and 1,40 mg/L) and the organophosphate (80,20, 130,45 and 151,20 mg/L) were changed. As a result, it has been determined that macrophyte species such as V. dubyana (Brotherus) can be used as biorestorator in biological treatment inland waters with extremely chemical pollution. Key Words: Treatment, Wastewater, Macrophyta, Slaughterhouse, Vesicularia dubyana.
