Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to find out the demands and suggestions of Ja'fari (Shia) People's representational problems in religion education and, in the light of this idea, try to solve them by modelling Iğdır City. The techniques used in this study are; literature survey, unstructured interview, face to face meeting and questionnaire techniques. When the datas, which are the outcome of the tecniques used, are evaluated. The results are as follows. A great majority of Ja'fari (Shia) People believe that the religion education at school is important but it is inadequate. They think that Ja'fari (Shia) People are not represented enough in religion education, and also they defend that Ja'fari Jurisprudence must be involved in the books which are instructed at schools and this belief must be included in the curriculum of religion lesson. Besides, almost all of the Ja'fari (Shia) People's opinion is that; The Ministery of Religious Affairs must represent not only one religious denomination but also all of them.
