Abstract (EN)
The hormone cortisol is known as the body's stress hormone and has functions such as regulating metabolism, inflammatory response and supporting the immune system. In addition, cortisol can affect the nerves, immune, cardiovascular, respiratory, reproductive and musculoskeletal systems. Normal cortisol levels range from 8 to 142 ng/ml in sweat. Cortisol level of 200 ng/ml in women and 500 ng/ml in men indicates stress. Within the scope of the thesis, the colorimetric analysis of the cortisol hormone was performed by collecting sweat samples through the microfluidic layer, combining them with the created color reagent, and quantitative analysis of the microfluidic was provided by labeling method depending on the RGB channel density values on the photograph taken by the ESP 32 module. In this study, our aim is to determine the level of the hormone cortisol, which has an important role in the diagnosis of certain diseases, by taking advantage of the advantages of wearable technology. With the system created, it is aimed to monitor and record the cortisol level measurements to be taken from the device that the user will wear during the day, via a computer, to facilitate the follow-up of possible changes in the cortisol hormone.
