Abstract (EN)
This study "Western and Central Anatolian Metal Body Jewelry in the 3rd Millennium BC" deals with metal body jewelry, both of unknown origin, purchased by museums, and from excavated settlements, as well as cemeteries in Western and Central Anatolia. The thesis consists of two parts. The first part offers a detailed analysis in alphabetic order about the 3rd millennium BC settlements and cemeteries in Western and Central Anatolia where metal body jewelry has been unearthed. In the second part, which is the main body of the thesis, metal body jewelry from Western and Central Anatolia has been examined in typological subdivisions. Metal body jewelry from neighbouring regions has been included in the study as well. The conclusion of the thesis offers statistics about the settlements and cemeteries where metal body jewelry has been found. Similar objects from neighbouring regions, such as the Balkans, the Aegean islands, Mesopotamia, and Caucasia, were examined as well.
