Abstract (EN)
Access to clean food is becoming increasingly difficult in the 21st century. Factors contributing to this decline include declining food resources, shrinking agricultural land, climate change, population growth, migration, price instability, depleted water resources, the shifting control of food production to international corporations, and agricultural diseases. Artificial intelligence-based control of aquaponic systems can enable accessible alternative food production. In aquaculture, water purification is required to control ammonia from fish waste. In hydroponics, nutrients must be added to the water for the plants. In aquaponics, these two systems are combined, with fish waste serving as a nutrient source for the plants and purifying the water for the fish. System control was performed using the Blynk application with an Esp32 card. Guppy fish and strawberry plants were incorporated into the automated system for 30 days. Fish tank temperature was maintained at 28°C, plant bed temperature at 26.5°C, and pH between 6.55 and 7.21. Daily feeding was performed using automatic feeding systems, with a dose of 11-15 grams. The fish tank water level was maintained between 95% and 64%. Real-time control of the mobile aquaponic system was achieved through the developed web and mobile interface applications. System efficiency was calculated using the t-test method. For the validity of the study, no human intervention was involved in aquaponic maintenance. It was observed that the pH and temperature of the IoT-based mobile aquaponic system were maintained at the desired values. Guppy fish and plant growth were monitored every seven days for four weeks. The system's efficiency has been analyzed and evaluated through domestic and international studies. The plan is to produce clean and halal animal and plant-based food using AI-controlled technology in urban spaces such as balconies, terraces, basements, and rooftops.
