Abstract (EN)

In this master of science thesis, it was aimed to synthesize and characterize the new peripheral tetra-substituted metallophthalocyanine compounds, to determine complex compositions and complex stability constants, and to examine their use in the fluorimetric determination of Sudan (II) dye. For this purpose, primarily 4-Methyl-N-(3morpholinopropyl) benzenesulfonamide compound (3) was synthesized. Afterwards, N(3,4-dicyanophenyl)-4-methyl-N-(3-morpholinopropyl)benzenesulfonamide compound (5) that was necessary for the synthesis of metallophthalocyanines was synthesized by the reaction of 4-methyl-N-(3-morpholinopropyl)benzenesulfonamide (3), 4-nitrophthalonitrile (4) and anhydrous K2CO3 in dry acetonitrile. The new Cu (II) (6), Co (II) (7), Mn(III)Cl (8), and Ni (II) (9) phthalocyanines were obtained by cyclotetramerization reaction in the presence of the phthalonitrile compound (5), pentan-1-ol, DBU, and corresponding anhydrous metal salts. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds were elucidated with LC-TOF/MS, UV-vis, Fourier Infrared, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and MALDI-TOF spectral data. In this study, it is also suggested that new metallophthalocyanine compounds (6-9) can be used for simple, and economical detection and determination of Sudan (II), which is a forbidden azo-dye used to increase red color in spices. Also, the sensitivity of the proposed method is good enough to determine the amount of dye at a concentration of 0.1 mg / L.
