Mufti Ahmet Izzet Efendı, who was one of the ımportant names ın our Hıstory of War of ındependence, was of foresıghted religious scholar, and he ıncreased hes efforts after Çal Natiomal Commıtee was founded. Ahmet Izzet Efendı was on the people who fırst protested Izmır occupatıon. Shortly after the sıgnıng of Mondros Armıstıce Aggreement Ahmet Izzet Efendı, who had a meetıng wıth people ın front of Çal Çarşı Mosque and made and excıtıng speech, asserted that they coulden't be slıent about enemy occupatıon.In War of Independence, Çal Defency Law Sacıety had great efforts.In the Vıctory of War of ındependence, Ahmet Izzet Efendı fought agaınst enemy wıth voluntary fıghters ın Aydın-Köşk Front by taking the helm of Çal The Natıonal Struggle.Hıs perseverıng efforts was also closely followed by the Greek army. When the Greek army occupated Süller, the village of Ahmet Izzet Efendı they looked for hım ın the vıllage Moreover, Greek Offıcer ordered hıs soldıers to burn down hıs hıghschool and all the belongıngs of Ahmet Izzet Efendı ıncludıng hıs dıploma nad allthe books, and confıscated hıs house as a guarter. However, despıte all the atrocıtıes and oppressıon, Ahmet Izzet Efendı contınued hıs war agaınst Greek occupatıon. Thus Ahmet Izzet Efendı was one of the most actıve muftıs ın War of Independence.
