Özet (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to reveal the relationship between the quality of life and physical activity levels of refugee children who came to Turkey as a result of forced migration from their countries. The research was carried out with the voluntary participation of 100 children residing in the center of Corum, between the ages of 14-17 and accepted as refugees. The "survey technique" and "simple random sampling" method, which are among the information collection tools and techniques, were used. In the first part, the "Personal Information Form" containing the demographic information created by the researcher, and in the second part, the "High School Quality of Life Scale (LISEYKO)" was used. For statistical test selection, the normality distribution of the data was evaluated by Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk tests. Two independent group comparisons were made with the Mann-Whitney U test because the data were not normally distributed. Comparisons between three independent groups were made using the Kruskal-Wallis test, since the data were not normally distributed. Mann Whitney U Post hoc pairwise comparison test with Bonferroni correction was used to determine the groups that differed after the Kruskal-Wallis test. Relationships between numerical variables were investigated with Spearmans correlation coefficient in accordance with the data normal distribution. The reliability of LISEYKO was evaluated with the Cronbach's alpha coefficient. For the statistical significance level, p<0.005 was accepted. Statistically significant differences were found between the participants' status of doing sports in Turkey, the sports branch they did in Turkey, their state of doing sports in the country they came from, the sports branch they did in the country they came from and their age, and the LISEYKO total scale and all sub-dimension scale scores. (p<0.05). As a result, it is thought that physical activity and sports positively affect the quality of life of refugee children from different cultures in the countries where they settled, and this interaction is due to the integrative feature of sports.
