Abstract (EN)

Muradiye district is located in the Upper Murat Van section of the Eastern Anatolia Region. The mostly mountainous and rugged area also has plains such as Muradiye and Akbulak. The area, which has continental climate conditions, is hydrographically included in the closed basin of Lake Van. Quantitative data of many institutions such as DSI (State Hydraulic Works), MGM (General Directorate of Meteorology), HGM (General Directorate of Maps), Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry were analyzed in order to obtain data on physical geography variables in the study area and to reveal their effects on human life. has been associated. Therefore, the correlational method was used. In the study, descriptive mixed design was used in the study because it was used and evaluated in qualitative data as well as quantitative data. Since the site is located in the collision zone of the Eurasian and Arabian plates, the geological and geomorphological structure has been affected. Depending on this, volcanic activities, earthquakes and mountain formations took place in the field. External forces have been effective in reshaping these formations. Continental climate prevails in the area. However, local conditions such as humidity, altitude and aspect caused the climate, plant species and soils to differ within the field. The dominant soil cover is Limeless Brown soils and Chestnut colored soils. There is no forest area in the area. There are individual shrub species in small areas. The general vegetation cover is steppe cover and mountain meadows.
