Folklore is a cultural formation that has manifested since the beginning of humanity. Every nation has its own unique folkloric elements. In this context, folklore research must be conducted to bring the folkloric elements of nations to light. Folklore research has developed through many stages from the past to the present. During these studies, folklore work is based on research and compilation. Researchers who conduct folklore research and compilation should not be overlooked. In this process, the importance of Mustafa Âdil Özder, a native of Artvin, in folklore studies should be emphasized. Özder, who dedicated his life to research, examination, and compilation, particularly in the Artvin region, wrote many works and articles and participated in numerous folklore activities. This study will provide information about the life, art, and works of Mustafa Âdil Özder, whom we can refer to as the Pertev Naili Boratav of Artvin. The study aims to shed light on the dark points of Özder's life. The thesis introduces the nature of Özder's art, his works, and articles.
