Abstract (EN)

Folk is a composition of people that live in a certain tradition together and share similar cultural characteristics. Folklore is a science branch that examines material and moral cultural values that belongs to people living together and showing similar cultural features. Folklore conducts investigations in a wide range including human behavior patterns and literature works, and conveys its findings to future generations. Folk literature, which assessed in folklore and elements of folk culture take place in works belonging to modern period Turkish literature. Mustafa Kutlu, who is considered as one of the most important names of Turkish story, is one of the writers that touch on folk's life in his works frequently. Mustafa Kutlu, who handles Anatolia, Anatolian people and the migration from village to city in his stories vividly, gives place elements of folklore in his works frequently. Mustafa Kutlu uses material and spiritual cultural elements of folk from his early works in his works frequently. The aim of this study is to determine and analyze the elements of folklore and folk literature evaluated within the folklore in the stories written by Mustafa Kutlu in the post-2010 period when the negative effects of the media on folk culture increased with the spread of social media. In this context, elements of folklore and usage of these elements in the stories written by Mustafa Kutlu between 2010 and 2018 are determined and revealed.
