Tradition in the Mustafa Miyasoğlu's stories and novels

The tradition does not fall from the agenda by preserving its existence and reputation in social spheres as it is the universal and social experience. Through its cultural dimension, its interdependence with the social field ensures a wide use as a concept. Thus, it is particularly worth examining as a main stream in the field of social sciences. In the context of tradition, Mustafa Miyasoglu, who constitutes the main field of this thesis, intended to take his stories and novels together with tradition, innovation and civilization problems. Miyasoglu, who became prominent by an Islamic character, handles the tradition as 'changing and unchanging'. The changing dynamic part is the cultural elements that cover the entire production of social life in history. The static part and which should not change is the Qur'anic revelations. He cares the role of art, especially literature in maintaining the transfer of both perspectives. This thesis is trying to reveal that Miyasoğlu adopts the "socialist traditionalism" movement which is in the weak and dissident side opposed to the "socialist realism" which is dominant in his era, and that he is looking for an exit in this direction in his works. In the author's works traditionalism, besides its broad cultural dimension, arises as religion, Islamism and criticism of modernism.
