Abstract (EN)

Polymers have an important place in our daily life. With the developments in the field of polymer science over time, high quality materials with superior properties have been developed for advanced technology. These developments have allowed the widespread use of polymer matrix composites. The fact that the melting temperatures are lower than other material groups provides important conveniences in terms of the machinability of polmer materials. Polymer and polymer matrix composites are producing using many production techniques and new material production techniques are often preferred with the help of heat and pressure. Among these methods, "heat forming method" has a wide application area. It is a production method that is frequently used in the automotive, electrical electronics, health and packaging sectors. In this study, two members of the polyolefins group, which has the most common use of thermoplastics, an important polymer type, were used as matrix materials, polyethylene and polypropylene. Standard tensile samples were produced by reinforcing these matrix materials with organic banana fiber in different weight ratios and the mechanical, thermal and morphological properties of these samples were investigated.
