Abstract (EN)

Fifteen entomopathogenic fungi (5 X Metarhizium, 4 X Beauveria, 2 X Isaria, 2 X Lecanicillium) selected from the laboratory collection were tested on Myzus persicae (Hemiptera: Aphididae) (Green peach aphid), which caused significant economic losses in agricultural areas. Dose-response assay, results showed that KTU-24, KTU-51, KTU-1 and Pa8 strains caused more than 80% death at 1 x 107 conidia / mL concentration. LC50 values of these strains were calculated as 0.21 × 105, 0.70 × 105, 0.96 × 105 and 0.17 × 105 conidia / mL, respectively. According to the virulence, gene content, temperature and UV-B tolerance characteristics of the strains, KTU-24 (B. bassiana) and KTU-51 (M. anisopliae) strains were found to be advantageous. Of these two strains, name as AFISIDAL-OD BBAS-TR61 and AFISIDAL-OD MET-TR61, domestic oil-based mycoinsecticide was developed for the first time in Turkey. The formulations were determined to produce 80% and 75% mortality effects on Myzus persicae nymphs under laboratory conditions and pot experiment at 108 conidia/mL concentrations against, respectively. The results obtained from the thesis show that both products are highly promising in the biological control of M. persicae.
