Abstract (EN)
The preservation of peace and stability in the world is the main aim of all states. Regarding with this matter, a great number of negotiations were held in the international law and then treaties were signed. However, changing and developing situations in the world made it impossible to maintain peace and stability of the relationship between states. At this point, destructions and wars emerged since the dawn of civilizations and as a result world political map has been shaped and it continues to change. Combating international terrorism in effective way brings international cooperation with it. Although there are a lot of national and international organizations for combating international terrorism, counter- terrorism strategy is still ineffective. In globalizing world, United Nations and NATO are not only effective but also leading organizations for combating terrorism After September 11 attacks, the responsible for the attacks was Al Quade Taliban terror organization which is under the lead of Afghanistan. America launched "Operation Enduring Freedom to Afghanistan, which is under the lead of Taliban, with the help of England on 7th October 2001. As a result of operation and together ending of Taliban, International Security Assistance Force having Turkey as a member was created for preventing authority gap, reconstituting Afghanistan and providing the security. Turkey, with Atatürk's motto "Peace at home, Peace in the world", has supported the preservation of world peace since Korean War. Turkish Armed Forces, attending a lot of operations under the leadership of International Security Assistance Force, has active role for reconstitution of Afghanistan and providing security there without having any problem with Afghan people. Turkish Armed Forces made contibutions for supporting peace as in Afghanistan, in Korea, in Bosnia, in Kosovo and in Somali.
