Abstract (EN)
The European pine sawfly Neodiprion sertifer (Geoffr) (Hymenoptera: Diprionidae) is one of the most pest for pine forest. In this study, bacterial flora of the pest was investigated to devolop a new biological control agent. A total 13 bacteria species belonging to 7 genera were isolated from N. sertifer. Morphological and biochemical characteristics of bacterial isolates were determined by conventional ( with API 20E and API 50CH strips) and routine techniques. Additionally, a 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis was performed to identify the isolates at the molecular level. Based on these studies and 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis results, isolates were identified as Pseudomonas sp. (Ns1), Staphylococcus sp. (Ns2), Bacillus megaterium (Ns3), Klebsiella oxytoca (Ns4), Klebsiella oxytoca (Ns5), Staphylococcus sp. (Ns6), Klebsiella oxytoca (Ns7), Raoultella planticola (Ns8), Pantoea agglomerans (Ns9), Staphylococcus pasteuri (Ns10), Pantoea agglomerans (Ns11), Acinetobacter lwoffi (Ns12) and Pantoea agglomerans (Ns13). To our knowledge, this is the first report in the literature on the bacterial flora of N. sertifer.
