Abstract (EN)
In the present study, CAS No: 153719-23- 4 thiamethoxam, CAS No: 138261-41- 3 imidacloprid, CAS No: 135410-20- 7 acetamiprid, CAS No: 210880-92- 5clothianidin neonikotinoid insecticides granted authorization by the Turkish National Public Health Agency were tested for insecticidal activity against Ankara populations of housefly (Musca domestica L.). Biological activity assays were carried out using WHO (World Health Organization) 10x10x20 cm alternative bait methods under laboratory conditions and resistance status of the populations were evaluated. The populations have been maintained in the laboratory since 2012, and continue to survive. The studied neonicotinoids were used in insecticidal activity bioassays against WHO sensitive, Beytepe populations and field collected Ankara Province Sincan Çadırtepe and Mamak waste disposal sites, Gölbaşı animal shelter, Çubuk Büğdüz location populations. The 5, 15 and 30 min knock down data were analyzed using Finney's probit analysis method; 24, 48 and 72 h LT 50 values were calculated based on the KT 50 values. Resistance or tolerance ratios (R/S) were calculated by comparing field populations with the standart sensitive population. When these values are examined; High resistance (R/S) in the Beytepe population against imidacloprid versus Sincan population versus acetamiprid, Beytepe population versus thiamethoxam versus clothianidin. LT 50 values were calculated according to the 24, 48, and 72 h measurement values and (R/S) was determined by comparing with the sensitive population. When these values are examined; High resistance (R/S) was detected in Mamak population against imidacloprid and thiamethoxam, against the Golbasi population and against the acetamiprid in the Sincan population. It has been observed resistance to the neonicotinoid groupdevelops at varying rates depending on the insecticide tested. Housefly from different sampling localities were resistant to some level and were different to the four neonicotinoids used as marketed formulations and authorized by the Turkish National Public Health Agency as biocides.
