Abstract (EN)
In this study, cost analysis of wastewater treatment plants located in Nevşehir and Acıgöl Organized Industrial Zones (OIZ) were evaluated. Chemicals, electricity consumption, sludge disposal, personnel requirement and maintenance/repairs constitute the operating cost of the facilities. In addition, pollution parameters and flow rate changes are important factors that affect these operating costs. Cost analysis has calculated the daily, annual and per unit wastewater costs of wastewater treatment plants in both OIZ. Comparisons were made on the flow rate, electricity and chemical consumption operating costs of the pollutant variables. The actual operating costs of treatment facilities include costs such as chemicals and electricity consumption, sludge disposal, personnel requirement and maintenance/repair. In addition, pollution parameters and flow rate changes are important factors that affect these operating costs. Cost analysis has calculated the daily, annual and per unit wastewater costs of wastewater treatment plants in both Acıgöl and Nevsehir OIZ. Effects of concentration changes of COD, BOD5, AKM, TN and TP pollutants on actual and design operation cost were investigated in wastewater treatment plants in both OIZ. The unit pollutant costs of design and actual for COD, BOD5, AKM, TN and TP were determined 0.28, 0.93, 1.11, 6.95, 55.60 $ and 0.46, 1.54, 1.85, 11.56, 92.47 $, respectively in Acıgöl OIZ. In the other OIZ treatment plant in Nevşehir, the unit pollutant costs of design and actual for COD, BOD5, AKM, TN and TP were calculated 0.06, 0.19, 0.28, 2.32, 17.42 $ and 0.03, 0.25, 0.19, 1.70, 94.35 $, respectively. The design and actual operating cost were calculated 0.56 $/m3.day and 0.92 $/m3.day respectively at flow rate of 1500 m3/day in Acıgöl OIZ and the total operating cost was calculated, increases 64.29% in Acıgöl wastewater treatment plant. The design and actual operation cost were calculated as 0.42 $ and 0.58 $, respectively, at flow rate of 500 m3/day in Nevşehir OIZ and an additional cost of 38.10% was found. The changes in flow rate, pollution concentrations and increases in chemicals and electricity consumption and sludge disposal costs should be taken into account while designing wastewater treatment plant.
