The tahrīc and evaluation of the hadiths in Ni'metullah B. Mahmūd's tafsir titled "Al-Fawātih al-Ilāhiyya"

At the center of this study lies al-Fawatih al-ilahiyya wa'l-mafātih al-ghaybiyya, the Qur'anic commentary authored by Niʿmatullah b. Mahmūd al-Nakhjuwani. In the first chapter, the political and intellectual climate of Niʿmatullah b. Mahmud al-Nakhjuwani's era, his life, affiliation with a Sufi order, scholarly profile, and works are examined. The second chapter provides an overview of takhrij (the tracing of hadith sources), followed by the takhrij and evaluation of the narrations contained in al-Fawatih al-ilāhiyya wa'l-mafātih al-ghaybiyya. The narrations forming the basis of this research are presented according to the order of the Qur'anic chapters in which they appear. Attention is given to the meaning they contribute in their respective contexts, after which, under the heading of "takhrij and evaluation," the assessments of hadith scholars regarding these narrations are consulted. In light of these scholarly evaluations, conclusions are reached concerning the authenticity of the narrations, primarily by considering the prevailing scholarly consensus. After all the narrations in the aforementioned section were analyzed, the findings were collectively evaluated, and the resulting conclusions were presented. Keywords: Niʿmatullâh b.
