Abstract (EN)

The wood which provides many of our needs in life has an enormous organization behind its being usable. As in all stages of this organization, the most important and indispensable parts of the storage activities, occupational health and safety studies are essential. In this study, with foreseeing probable dangers and risks may be encountered in the storage activities which is part of "the stacking, moving and loading of the woods which is cut and cleaned in forest" which is included class of in dangerous Works in "İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliğine İlişkin Tehlike Sınıfları Tebliğinde Değişiklik Yapılmasına Dair Tebliğ" which is published by ministry of labour and social security on Official Gazette of the Republic of Turkey with date of 29 march 2013, a risk assessment was designed which suggestions made for taking precautions against them. Also; in the possible state of emergency, for getting through this situation with minimal damage ,an emergency action plan was created which informs "how is responded, who is gonna respond,what should be the chain of command in extraordinary situations and at the time of the incident what should be the behaviours of people in the storage. This study performed in Dereli Forest Storage which is incorporated in the management of forest department of Dereli which connected to the Giresun Forest Region Management. 5*5 L Matris method was used in study. Risk analysis and emergency action plan which prepared in range of study serves as a model in the other forest storages in initiating occupational health and safety, preparing risk analysis and emergency action plan.
