Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to examine the experiences of the instructors who have used the Educational Social Network Site (ESNS) in their lessons. To this end, the advantages and limitations of ESNS through the Edmodo example, the reasons for use and the integration of the lesson are examined. In the study, case studies are used in qualitative research methods. It constitutes nine teaching staff with Edmodo experience determined by the method of sampling of the sample of the worker. In the study, data were collected through semi-structured interviews. Interview records were transcribed and analyzed by content analysis method. In accordance with the nature of the event, additional information was gathered by communicating again with the instructors for the parts needed in the analysis process. As a result of the analysis of the data; Instructors used Edmodo's Learning Management System (LMS) and Social Networking Sities (SNS) skills in their lessons. It was observed that the instructors preferred the homework, quiz, data sharing (library) and rosette features as SNS features while they preferred the wall feature with group formation as the SNS feature and preferred these features due to functional structures. The use of ESNS is preferred because it does not require much effort, it enhances communication and facilitates the processes in the teaching process. Their use varied according to their function. Instructors, for example, have stated that they prefer library ownership in order to facilitate homework control, to increase student accountability and to keep pupils active in classes, to increase homework, to increase student readiness, and to reinforce learned topics. As a result, it is observed that Edmodo features determine the preferences of the faculty members. At the same time, it can also be said that the functional structures of these features influence the usage intent of the instructors. In addition, the facilitation of in-class activities can be attributed to the effective use of LMSs and the increased ability of SNS features to enhance communication with the functions as well as to increase interest in the lesson. It can be said that they have even followed the lesson, become informed, have fast access and increased interaction.
