Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of teachers' motivational support and students' locus of control on academic resiliences among high schoool students. Therefore, a questionnaire package was applied to 502 (Female:351, Male:151) students attending to high schools in Mardin province. In the questionnaire, Locus of Control scale developed by Nowicki ande Strickland (1973), Teacher motivational support scale developed by Güvenç (2015) and Academic resilience scale developed by Martin ve Marsh (2006) was employed. In addition, a form of life events developed by researchers was employed in order to determine students' distressing events that they experince throughtout their life. Students' academic success was measured by grade-point averages. SPSS 21.0 software was used for calculating descriptive statistics and Pearson Momen Product scores. Structured Equation Model was used for analysing data. Lisrel 8.8 software was employed to determine statistical fit of proposed model. Covariance matrix was used to investigate the relationships among research variables. Results of the study showed that teachers' motivational support and students' locus of control affected students' academic succes and academic resilience. According to results of the study some sugesstions were made for educators and researchers.
