Within the framework of the necessity of developing the approaches that increase the professional effectiveness and the efficiency of the teachers; The Ministry of National Education preferred the Performance Evaluation System instead of the evaluation of the teachers and the school principals with the supervision and registration reports made by inspectors. This research is a qualitative research involving the views of the school principals and teachers on the performance evaluation system that was first implemented in the 2015-2016 academic year. Within the scope of the research, 22 teachers and 22 school principals who work in different education levels in the city center of Kütahya in the 2016-2017 academic year were interviewed with the questions prepared about the performance evaluation system. The findings obtained from the interviews with the participants were generated using the case study design from qualitative research approaches. In the research, the views of the school principals and the teachers about performance evaluation process were revealed by following a descriptive approach. The performance evaluation process was found to be accepted by the majority of the participants, and then the critiques and the suggestions of the performance evaluation system were made in the direction of the obtained findings.
