Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the ethical leadership behaviours of the school managers perceived by the teachers and the motivation levels of the teachers by identifying the ethical leadership levels of the school managers according to the teachers and the motivation levels of the teachers. The teachers working in the primary and secondary schools in Muratpaşa, Konyaaltı, Kepez, Aksu and Manavgat districts of Antalya in 2012-2013 education year constitude the population of the study. The teachers working in 40 primary and secondary schools in Muratpaşa, Konyaaltı, Kepez, Aksu and Manavgat districts of Antalya in 2012-2013 education year constitude the sample of the study. In this study, two different types of 5 point likert scales were used as a data collection tool. The first one is "Ethical Leadership Scale" and the other one is "Motivation Scale". The questionnaires were conducted in June, 2013. Arithmetic means and standard deviation values about each sub problem of the study were found out. T-test, One-Way Anova, LSD test and Pearson Correlation Coefficient techniques were used for the analysis of the data. The school managers show ethical leadership behaviours according to the views of the teachers participating the study. Among these views, there are meaningful differences according to gender, socio-economic level and the technological facilities of the school. The teachers participating the study stated that they were motivated. Among the motivation levels of the teachers , there were meaningful differences according to gender, age, occupational seniority, the type of school, the number of the teachers at school and technological facilities of the school. A meaningful relationship between the ethical leadership behaviours of the school managers and the motivation of the teachers was found out.
