The examination of life skills in preschoolers in terms of various variables

In thisstudy, it wasaimedtoexaminethe life skills of preschoolchildrenliving in thecentraldistricts of Aksaray province in terms of variousvariables. "Survey Model" fromQuantitativeResearchDesignswasused in thestudy. Thestudypopulation of theresearchconsists of childrenattendingpre-schooleducation in Aksaray in 2021-2022. Thesample of theresearchconsists of 472 preschoolchildrenattendingpreschooleducationaffiliatedwiththeMinistry of NationalEducation in thecentraldistrict of Aksaray province. Demographic Information Form" and "Preschool Life SkillsScale" wereused as data collectiontools in theresearch. In ordertodeterminethedemographicinformation of thechildren, a demographicinformation form consisting of itemsincludinggender, age (in months), socioeconomiccharacteristics of thefamily, duration of children'sattendance at thepre-schooleducationinstitution, mother/fatheremploymentstatus, number of siblings, familyincomelevel, mother/fathereducationstatuswasusedbytheresearcher. In thecurrentstudy, a repeatreliabilityanalysiswasconductedandthereliabilitycoefficientwascalculated as .94. The data obtained in theresearchwasanalyzed in a computerenvironmentusing SPSS (Statistical PackageforSocialSciences) 23 package program. In theanalysis of thesocio-demographiccharacteristics of thepreschoolchildrenparticipating in thestudy, frequency (f) andpercentage (%) values werecalculatedfromdescriptivestatisticsmethods. In addition, t-test and Mann Whitney U test wereusedtodeterminewhetherthescores they receivedfromthescalediffersignificantlyaccordingtotheirsocio-demographiccharacteristicsandanswerstothescaleitems; One-wayanalysis of variance (ANOVA) andKruskal Wallis analyzeswereperformed.
