Using song as material in preschool education institutions: Trabzon province sample

This research is prepared to determine common and different characteristics about songs taught in pre-school institutions and to create a general impression from the sample. The sample group of the study is pre-school intitutions and the sample is Trabzon province. When creating the thesis, semi-structed interview form and literature search methods were used from qualitative research types and the obtained data are tabulated using Excel. As a result of research; although there is not a common repertoire in preschool institutions, it has been observed that mostly the same songs are used. Teachers working in pre-school institutions share information among themselves or benefit from pre-school sites on the internet. It was concluded that the teachers interviewed in the sample considered their information about music is insufficient.
