Analysis of preschool teachers' level of creativity

Aim of this thesis is to determine preschool teachers' level of creativity according to their own perceptions. Sample group of the study is consisted of 84 preschool teachers working in Uşak city centre. The scale, "How creative are you?" developed by Raudsepp (1979), adapted into Turkish by Sungur (1997) was applied on teachers. Reliability coefficient of the scale was found as α=0,893. Differentiation levels of scores obtained from the scale according to variables such as gender, age, type of, hometown, education status of parents, occupation of parents, methods and techniques preferred by teacher, domains were analysed. In evaluation of the data mean, standard deviation, t- test, one-way analysis of variance, Tukey, Anova, Mann Whitney U andX2tests were used. According to findings, there was statistically significant difference according to activities teachers use in evaluating students' developments and fields they gave priority. On the other hand, no significant difference was observed in preschools teachers' level of creativity according to gender, age, high school graduated , hometown, education status of parents, occupation of them, their reading habits, activity centre they work, whether they took preschool education or not.
