Developing a positive youth development based online resilience psychoeducation program for preschool teachers

Abstract (EN)
The general purpose of this research is to develop and test the effectiveness of the Positive Youth Development Based Online Resilience Psychoeducation Program prepared for preschool teachers. The study group of the research consists of preschool teachers. Adult Resilience Scale was used in the study. In the study, pre-test, post-test and permanence measurements were taken; A mixed design with experimental and control groups (2x3) was used. After the experimental process was completed, the ANCOVA statistic was used for 2x2 mixed measurements in which the pre-test scores were considered as a covariate to test whether the applied program was effective. Positive Youth Development Based Online Resilience Psycho-Training Program for Preschool Teachers (8 sessions) was applied to the experimental group. No program was applied to the control group. A descriptive analysis was conducted for the data obtained from the reflective diary (participant's diary) and focus group interviews, which were used in the study to examine participant views on the effects of the program. Accordingly, two main themes were reached: the effects of the session and the effect of the program. In the second stage, under the main theme of the effects of the session, if the sub-themes of competence, self-confidence, relationships, compassion/caring, character strengths, problem solving and coping are under the main theme of the program, developing self-confidence, problem solving and developing competence skills, relationship development, social interest. development and positive results sub-themes were created. According to the research findings, it was determined that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the teachers in the experimental group obtained from the Adult Resilience Scale and the sub-dimensions of self-efficacy, internal locus of control, perseverance, coping and adjustment, except for the family and social networks sub-dimension. showed that the psycho-education program increased the resilience levels of the teachers in the experimental group. In addition, it was determined that there was no significant difference between the scores of the teachers in the experimental group in the Adult Resilience Scale and the posttest scores of the self-efficacy, internal locus of control, perseverance, coping and adjustment sub-dimensions and the permanence test. The results showed that this effect remained for three weeks after the psychoeducation given to the experimental group.
