Investigation of graduate theses on developing reading skills

In this study, it is aimed to class if you graduate theses related to the development of reading skills according to their genders, the years of study, universities, methods used, subjects and target audience. In this study, document analysis technique which is one of the qualitative search methods is used. Data analysis was performed by content analysis.The sample of the study was analyzed by the Turkish National Research Center (YÖK National Thesis) between 2002 and 2018. Detailed studies were carried out on 32 doctoral dissertations and 103 master's thesis, including 40 master's thesis, and the data were divided into subgroups. The theses were examine according to the thesis type, the year the thesis was published, the gender of the author, the subject of the thesis, the subject of the thesis, the subject of the thesis, data collection methods and the target audience of the thesis. As a result of the finding obtained from the research; a) The majority of graduate theses prepared for the development of reading skills were made in 2018 and 2016, b) The most studied university is Gazi University with a rate of %18.5%, c) The methods used; Quantitative method is used in the ratio of %65.9, d) When looking at the gender of the authors of the graduate theses prepared for the development of reading skills; %53.3 female researcher, e) When looking at the distribution of post graduate theses prepared for the development of readings skills according to the target group; 48.1 of the studies are for secondary school, f) %76.2 of the graduate theses prepared for the development of reading skills are reached by the results of master theses.
