Manufacturing photoluminescence, cadmium oxide films for optoelectronic applications

In this study, Tm-doped CdO nanocomposites were synthesized at 430 oC by sol-gel spin coating method. Structural, morphological and optical properties of the synthesized thin films were investigated by atomic force microscopy, X-ray diffraction and UV-vis spectrophotometer. The lowest value of the grain size was found forby tm doped CdO film 50 nm in the 5% Tm-added CdO thin film. By addition of Tm, nanoparticulate clusters of 800-2000 nm are formed in CdO films. XRD showed that the cadmium oxide was in the polycrystalline structure of the cubic rock salt and the peak intensity of all thin films increased in the direction of doping (200). The optical permeability, refractive index values and dielectric constant values of CdO thin filminin were changed by Tm addition. The band gap values measured by optical band and photoluminescence of the films depend on the absorption, calculated.
