Özet (EN)
Institutional culture and employees' sense of belonging have great importance in terms of operational efficiency and management. The adoption of this culture by the enterprises with institutional culture that creates a certain mission and vision together with the stakeholders improves the sense of belonging of the employees. In this study, a three-part questionnaire study was conducted among the employees of Eskişehir Osmangazi University Health Practice and Research Hospital that was applied to 695 people from different professions. Continuous data are given as Average ± Standard Deviation. Categorical data are given as percent (%). The Shapiro Wilk test was used in investigating the normal distribution suitability of data. The Mann-Whitney U test was used for the cases with two group numbers, and the Kruskal-Wallis H test was used for groups with three or more groups. The Spearman correlation coefficients were calculated for the determination of the direction and magnitude between the Likert type measures (Correlation) and for the variables that do not show normal distribution. Validity and reliability coefficients of the Organizational Commitment and Institutional Culture scale questions that were the subject of the study were calculated by Cronbach Alpha coefficient.Pearson Chi-Square and Pearson Exact Chi-Square analyzes were used in the analysis of the generated cross tables. IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0 program was used to implement the analyzes. For statistical significance, p <0.05 was considered as the criterion. The first part of the practice's questionnaire determined the demographic data of the participants. In the second part, employees' sense of belonging, responsibility and necessity were measured. In the third part, interest between organizational culture and organizational commitment was investigated. It has been determined that there is a positive relationship between corporate culture and organizational commitment in all demographic data, and in a large majority of employees, feelings of belonging are higher than the sense of necessity. However, when compared to institutions over a certain size in terms of institutional culture and organizational commitment, there is a lack of empowerment of stakeholders in adopting institutional culture in Eskisehir Osmangazi University Health Practice and Research Hospital. Although the results of this study are sufficient to reveal the current state of institutional culture and sense of belonging, it is necessary to disclose to the stakeholders in a more comprehensive manner through communication tools such as taking and implementing urgent measures to improve the corporate culture and sense of belonging in the hospital.
