Abstract (EN)
In recent years, because of the increasing competition conditions, the necessity of well satisfaction of the staff and customers has gained a greater importance, for firms to keep conducting their businesses. In the tourism, which is mentioned as one of the main services sectors, organizations should make their employees well satisfied in order to achieve a high satisfaction level of their customers. When the employees and the employers work in harmony and co-operation, when the employers give importance to the well being of the employees in organization and as a return for this when the employees work hard and eagerly to increase the efficiency of the organization provides a high level of organizational health.The objective of this study is to reveal the effects of the organizational health on the job satisfaction with a survey made in the five-star hotels in Afyonkarahisar. For this purpose 276 employees were surveyed and observed in their job environment. Survey consists of 3 main sections; which are as following; first part aimed to determine the demographic features of employees, second part aimed to disclose the level of job satisfaction of employees, and finally third part aimed to reveal the ideas and apprehensions of the employees in their working environment. The employees in Afyonkarahisar five-star hotels make the sample space of the research. In the study, the opinions of the participants about the organizational health and job satisfaction were tested with t-test and variance analysis, to understand whether they show a statistically significant relation. The relation between the opinions of participants about organizational health was also tested to find a correlation with job satisfaction, using correlation and regression analysis.According to the results of the survey, among the features of participants, gender, tourism education, educational level, and experience in management did not make a significant relation with job satisfaction. On the other hand; marital status, job in the organization, income level, age, the section in which the employee works in the organization showed a significant relation. Between organizational health and job satisfaction, a positive correlation was found at the level of r=0,854.According to Regression Analysis results, the most important dimensions of the organizational health, which affected job satisfaction most were unity of goals and participations of all employees around the same goals.
