The effect of organizational learning and knowledge sharing on innovation

Abstract (EN)

This study is performed in three corporations which are active in automotive industry. Corporation workers are added to the extent of the research. In the research, the relation among knowledge sharing, organizational learning and innovation is revealed. Organizational learning is organizational processes aiming to bring in value to the knowledge acquired and forwarded in corporations. Organizational learning is discussed in three dimensions as individual learning, learning in team level and learning in organizational level. Knowledge sharing is a conscious activity that carried out knowledge flow with willingness of parts that is resulted from interaction between the side that owns knowledge and the side that is going to get knowledge. Knowledge sharing dimensions, like individual and managerial viewpoint to knowledge sharing, individual and organizational obstacles against knowledge sharing and individual and organizational knowledge sharing results, are discussed. Innovation is a process that covers all the activities that is carried out for new product, service or improving the process and make it commercial. Besides, in this study the relation between knowledge sharing of socio-demographic features of workers, organizational learning and innovation is analysed. At the end of the research, positive high correlation was observed between organizational learning and innovation (r=,897). While it is determined that there is a positive relation among the view point to knowledge sharing, the results of knowledge sharing and innovation, a negative relation is seen between organizational obstacles against knowledge sharing and innovation. There is a positive relation among innovation, the results of individual knowledge sharing and organizational learning and workers educational level, whereas a negative relation is determined between individual level and group level organizational learning and workers ages, and working hours in sector and working hours in the same workplace. While a negative relation is identified between obstacles against knowledge sharing and education levels of workers, a positive relation is determined among the results of organizational knowledge sharing and workers? working hours in sector and working hours in the same working place.
