Abstract (EN)
The novels Mr. Cevdet and His Sons, Silent House and Snow by Orhan Pamuk, the only Nobel prize-winning Turkish writer, were investigated in a political discourse. It is known that policy in Turkish literature has permeated the works since Tanzimat literature, and it has been placed more broadly in the Works especially under the influence of impacts 1960/1971/1980, In this regard, it was determined whether Pamuk who comes up with political statements has used such a political discourse and in which way he approached if he did. In respect of the time Mr. Cevdet and His Sons, Silent House and Snow which cover a period from constitutional up to 1990s, contain many political elements. In the introductory part of the study, literary and political relations, and general information about how deep policy has been in literature from ancient Greece to the present day were mentioned. In the first section, a short briefing was stated about Pamuk's life and works by considering that it would contribute to the review. In the review chapter being the second and the last section of the study, the political factors in the aforementioned novels were determined by taking into account the content of each novel and therefrom the study indicated the political discourse used in these novels by the author.
