Abstract (EN)

Orhan Pamuk, who has got more readers abroad than in our country, is one of the most discussed novelists among the novelists having lived after 1980s. While there are lots of discussions about him, it is required to discover his world of themes which is the matter of concerns, comments and assessments in order to identify him. The main aim of this work is to analyse enriched world of themes of Orhan Pamuk a postmodern novelist. The work consists of two parts. His life, literary personality and works are informed in the first part. In the second part, themes handled in novels are analysed. By the way, in the light of effects of postmodern theory, his thoughts and feelings are taken in the consideration during analysing process. Furthermore, sciences such as history, sociology, psychology and philosophy are benefited from. As a result of this work it is determined that Orhan Pamuk, who is a dynamic novelist renovating himself continuously, gets the originality by processing the conflicts, personality problems, social problems and the other themes multi dimensionally.
