Factors affecting internal migration in forest villages (Bartin-Kastamonu case)

The aim of this study is to establish the most important factors affecting migration in forest villages, in what type of migration effects on forests and forest villages created to explore. For this purpose, the variables related to forest villages and internal migrations have been developed. Then, variables were evaluated by correlation analysis, factor analysis, multiple linear regression analysis and discriminant analysis.This study consists of five main chapters. In the first chapter, there are general definitions. The second chapter is review of the literature. The third chapter is located in the Materials and Methods. The method as part of the research unit of the specified area of forest villages which are selected, what information is collected on these villages, which statistical analysis in the evaluation of the collected data is used and the theoretical background of this analysis. Results and Discussion chapter is the fourth. This chapter consists of three main parts in general. In the first part, the research area was the general assessment of internal migration in the selected provinces. The second part, the research unit selected as the population changes in forest villages were examined between 1960-2010 and sudden breaks in the periods when the population is interpreted. The analysis were evaluated and discussed in the third part. The fifth chapter consists of conclusions and recommendations.According to correlation analysis, there are many significant bilateral relationship about migrations in forest villages. Factor analysis revealed that 15 factors influencing migrations of the forest villages. According to regression analysis in the migration; village houses in the occupancy rate, number of quarters in the village, the share of land, unused agricultural land area of the village, the village population, illiteracy, emigrated to the number of arrivals to the village once in a while, but without cutting away the bonds of villages, firewood per household per year the amount of forest area per capita amount of spatial variation of forests within the boundaries of the village, forest and village enterprises or tampered with chieftaincies out activities within the boundaries of a shortage of employment in the forests is determined by the annual eta. Net migration rates by discriminant analysis based on research in the field of migration, these villages as the villages, the villages of emigration, the first degree, second degree and third degree of emigration emigration villages are classified as villages. According to analysis the cause of migration in forest villages: to the back of the mountain village settlements, the distances more than between the city center villages, lack of education and health services, the low income of forest villafers, lack of support of ORKÖY, undeveloped rural industries, low wood production per capita. Because of the migration in forest villages, social, economic, demographic, and physical structures has been changed. According to the results in order to keep some control over migration of forest villages have been studied in a variety of policies and proposals.
