Abstract (EN)

Purpose of this paper is to determine the contribution of forest cooperatives to forest villagers and thoughts of forest villagers about these cooperatives. Questionnaires were applied in villages in which there is a forest cooperative. Frequency analysis was used data analyzing in Microsoft Excel then results show in charts. Findings show that 50% of villagers are shareholders with cooperatives. Thirty percent of forest villagers thought that ''forest cooperatives are institution ruled by government''. While 60% of forest villager expressed that forest cooperatives have an impact upon cooperation and working in collaboration, 54% of shareholders expressed that success of cooperatives depends on financial support of the government. Shareholders of cooperatives expressed that they haven't got any problem with cooperatives but they mentioned that if cooperatives are ruled better, they will have more contribution to villager. It is thought that by giving an effective training, cooperatives will be better understood by the villagers and shareholders thus the number of forest villagers to be shareholders to cooperatives will increase.
