Abstract (EN)
Construction phase of forest roads makes it obligatory to side slop excavation along the route and this obligation mostly results in many negative effects on soil characteristics such as increasing of erosion and surface runoff. At the construction phase of forest roads, cutting slopes and embankment slopes, which their surface are curved, are built. Because the slopes are artificially and have mineral soil surfaces, they become more susceptible to erosion. In this study; new, 5 years old and 10 years old forest roads which are at the same aspect and altitude; soil samples are collected from fill slope of these road; as using carelage method with drone, the level of that the plants cover the soil are detected. The various analyses are made on the soil sample; so its searched that the effects of natural plantation fill slopes over the erosion. At that study; the ABAG method which is transform from USLE model to metric system and which is simulation of adaptaion to European Norms. Closure rates of surfaces by vegetation determines as; 93% for 10-year road code 269, 80% for the 5-year 307 code road and 0% for the newly constructed road with 315 codes because vegetation has not started yet there. According to the ABAG method, the annual amount of soil loss on the 10-year forest road is 1.59 tons/ha/year, the annual soil loss on the 5-year forest road is 1.75 tons/ha/year, and lastly, on the newly built forest road, this value is 15.52 tons/ha/year. According to these results, it's recommended that the amount of soil loss that occurred in the 5-year period remained at a negligible level, therefore, considering that the embankment slopes naturally collect themselves, there is no need for any stabilization process in the embankment slopes in this working area.
