Abstract (EN)
Retailing at food sector is the effort of providing various goods with appropriateconditions by establishing customers? needs. In the first part, the definition and functions, theeconomic foundations and the historical periods of retailing sector in Turkey has briefly beenexplained. After the definition of the retail shops, the characteristics of these shops,functions, problems and achievements has been studied.In the second part, human resources management and education, the content ofeducation in small and medium scaled retailing shops, education profiles and the achievementfactors have been investigated. An empirical research on Groseri markets has been done in thethird part. After the brief information is given about Groseri markets, the process of humanresources education, the research quality and the evaluation have been made. The last part ofthis study is the conclusion and the suggestions part. It has been suggested that continuousand better education in various subjects have to be provided for the working personnels inorder to enable them to be qualified people.Key Words: Retail, Human Resource Education, Groseri
