Middle school 5 fifth grade social studies textbook evaluation from teachers' perspectiues

The aim of this study was to evaluate the fifth grade social studies textbook revised in 2014 to the teachers' views. The sample of this study was 110 social studies teachers who worked in secondary schools in the city center of Afyonkarahisar in Turkey. Data were gathered by using a Likert scale which was three categories. SPSS 18.0 packet program was used to analysis the data. To identify the teachers' views, freguency (n), percentage (%) and mean (x) was used. The findings were presented by the dimensions of "design, visual layout, physical structure", "content", "language and expression". Key Words: Social Sciences, Social Sciences Student Book
