Abstract (EN)
This study investigates the variables that are correlated with the level of aggression and narcissism among middle school students. It also examines the relationship between aggression and narcissism. The study analyzes whether variables such as gender, school type, parental education level, number of siblings and family income are correlated with aggression and narcissism. The sample of the study consists of 368 middle school students who attended school during the 2015-2016 academic year. The students were asked to fill three questionnaires. First, the participants fill their demographic information. Second, "Aggression Questionnaire" which was developed by Buss and Perry (1992), revised by Buss and Warren (2000) and adapted into Turkish by Can (2002) was filled by students. Finally, the participants were asked to fill "Childhood Narcissism Scale" which was developed by Thomaes et al. (2008). The study finds that aggression level among middle school students significantly differs across gender, school type, parental education, and income categories. Also it is found that narcissism differs across paternal education categories. Finally, the study finds that there is a strong and positive correlation between aggression levels and narcissism levels among middle school students, and that this correlation does not vary across genders or school types. Key Words: Aggression, narcissism, aggression at middle school students.
