Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to reveal how homework and feedback were given to students within the scope of science course and to examine the opinions of teachers, students and parents about homework and feedback. In addition, the difficulties faced by teachers, students and parents in science homework were determined. This qualitative study, which included six science teachers, six students, and six parents in the study group, was carried out in the province of Gaziantep in the 2019-2020 academic year. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with teachers, students and parents. Content analysis was used for the analysis of the data. As a result of the analyzes, it was determined that the teachers and students found homework and feedback necessary, that the teachers gave homework regularly, and that the students allotted an average of 1 or 2 hours a week to complete their science homework. It was found out that the teachers gave test and practice questions as homework, provided verbal feedback through regular checks, and tried to give written feedback in research, project and product-oriented assignments. It was understood that the families were aware of homework assignments via WhatsApp.
