Investigation of middle school students' attitudes and academic risk levels towards the science course (Aksaray province example)

Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between middle school students' attitudes towards science course and academic risk levels. In this study, the research was conducted through the relational survey model, which is one of the quantitative research methods. The sample of the research consists of 399 students studying in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades in the 2021-2022 academic year. While analyzing the data, SPSS 24 program was used. According to Cronbach's Alpha values, Academic Risk Scale and Attitude towards Science Scale were found to be highly reliable. According to the results of the analysis, no statistically significant difference was found between the gender, parental education status groups in terms of Academic Risk Taking and Attitudes Towards Science Scale scores. A statistically significant difference was found in terms of Academic Risk Taking and Attitude Towards Science Scale scores according to grade.
