Abstract (EN)

The study was carried out in the screening model in order to determine the relationship between secondary school students' levels of physical activity, enjoyment of exercise and their aggression levels. The sample of the study consisted of 500 students, 262 (52.4%) girls and 238 (47.6%) boys, who were studying at secondary school level in Aksaray province in the 2021-2022 academic year. In the study; Personal Information Form, International Physical Activity Scale, Physical Activity Enjoyment Scale and Aggression Scale were used as a data collection tool. In the analysis of the data, besides with the descriptive statistics, in pairwise comparisons independent sample t-test, to determine the relationship between the variables the Pearson Correlation coefficient technique was used. In addition, simple linear regression analysis was used to determine the predictor of physical activity levels of secondary school students on their enjoyment of exercise and aggression levels. It was observed that the students in the sample had a high level of enjoyment of exercise, while their aggression levels and physical activity levels were moderate. It was determined that there was no significant difference between the physical activity, enjoyment of exercise and aggression levels of secondary school students according to the gender variable. While there was no significant difference between the physical activity and aggression levels of the students in the sample according to the variable of doing regular sports, a significant difference was found between the levels of enjoying exercise. In the study, there was a positive correlation between the ages of secondary school students and their physical activity levels; on the other hand, a negative significant relationship was found between the levels of enjoyment of exercise and aggression levels. No significant relationship was found between the academic achievement of secondary school students and the levels of physical activity, enjoyment of exercise and aggression. In addition, while a positive and significant relationship was found between secondary school students' physical activity levels and their enjoyment of exercise, no significant relationship was found between students' physical activity levels and aggression levels. However, in the study, it was seen that physical activity levels of secondary school students were an important and significant predictor of their enjoyment of exercise, but not an important and significant predictor of aggression levels.
