Comparing students attitude about physical education who have been studying in secondary school

In this reseach, the view point of secondary schol students towards physical education lesson have been examined and according to the obtained results proper suggestions have been made. İn 2014-2015 academic year, the secondary students that receive education in Van city center have been taken as the sample group. The research have been made for determining the differences between private schools students and secondary schools students that are subsidiary of the ministry of national education by examining their attitudes towards physical education lesson. During the reseach; a guestionnaire has been carried out with 739 students. The attitude scale that has been developped by Güllü and Güçlü by applying to 600 students consists of 11 positive and 24 negative; totally 35 statements. The guestionnaire consists of two sections. The first section consists of personal details and the second section consists of the attitude scale of phtsical education lesson. The obtained information and data have been transferred in to SPSS-21 confirmatory factor analysis has been made by using LİSREL packaged software to verify the form of the previously developped scale. The levels of the students attitude towards physical education lesson have been analyzed wiht deseriptive statistics as average standart deviation, skewness and kurtosis. First of all; exstreme valves and missing data have been examined without taken into consideration of the attitude differences according to the range of the students demographic properties. Normal distribution of attitude level has been analyzed by using Kolmogorov-simirnow Z test. Considering different varieties, students who are involved in this survey shows us that private school students have a lower attitude for physical education, when comparing with public svhool students it has been presented that physical aducotion alasses havenot been considered as a factor students get lower grades in academic study, cantrary to this students who has athletic skills must be rewarded with extra grades in TEOG exams.
