An investigation on Ortaoyunu Karagöz and deconstructivism

SUMMARY AN INVESTIGATION ON ORTAOYUNU - KARAGÖZ AND DECONSTRUCT I V I SM There is an architectural identity problem inthe world as well as in Turkey. The guestxon is that how one could utilize cul ture. Main concern of this study is that if we can benefit from concept of theater which is part of the culture. In the first chapter; definition of the problem and the goals of this study is presented. In the second chapter; general characteristics of and similarities of Ortaoyunu, Karagöz, which are traditional Turkish theaters, have been explained. In the third chapter; deconstructivism is explained, deconstructivist projects have been introduced and similarities between theatrical concepts and principles of deconstructivism have been explained.
