The effect of social networking sites of hotel holders and managers among social capital factors on customer's supply for hotel businesses, sample of Gaziantep

Social capital is a concept that illuminates the situation in which there is an economic response of the ongoing relations between individuals in the society. The aim of this study is to determine what level social networks of the owners of hotel businesses and the managers who work in those hotels are used to provide customers. In this context realized the owners of the all hotels which are running in Gaziantep city are involved and their directors who work in administrative level, also contribute to sales and marketing directly were being interviewed. The questionnaire developed for this study was applied to 174 people who are owners and directors of the hotel businesses in between October and August of 2016. At the end of the study, social networks of the hotel owners and the managers were found to have 57.5% effect on customer acquisition. Those social networks which were determined to have effects consist of 7 dimensions. The dimension which has the most impact on the 7 dimensions of social networks is the dimension of informal social networks. Nevertheless, the demographic variable which has the highest level of customer acquisition is vocational training which have been found in findings. As the involvement in the vocational education increases among the hotel owners and managers, the application of social networks increases.
