Abstract (EN)
This study has been conducted for the purpose of examining the relationship between the quality of life and the movement education and educational game for children with autism. Total 13 children, including 1 female and 12 male, who were diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, participated in the study. The children have been received a program of movement education for one hour a day, two days a week and total 14 weeks. It is a definitive study and personal information form, The Quality of Life Scale for Children (QoL-C) and Test of Motor Development-II (TGMD II) are used. In pre-test and post-test comparison of TGMD II test; the locomotor scores are Medium (min-max) 2 (1-10) before the movement education. After the movement education, it has shown an increase at 7 (1-13) which is an expressively significant increase. The object control scores are Medium (min-max) 5 (1-13) before the movement education. After the movement education, it has shown an increase at 10 (1-13) which is an expressively significant increase. The medium (min-max) of the Total Scale Score of the Quality of Life Scale for Children (QoL-C) is 64,13 (36,96-81,52) before the movement education. After the movement education, it has shown an increase in 69,56 (40,22-92,39) which is an expressively significant increase. Overall Physical Health scores are Medium (min-max) 53.13 (31,25-81,25) before the movement education. After movement education, it has shown an increase at 68.75 (31,25-96,88) which is an expressively significant increase. Overall Psychosocial Health scores are Medium (min-max) 60 (30,00-81,67) before the movement education. After movement education, it has shown an increase at 70 (45,00-95,00) which is an expressively significant increase. As a result, it has been seen that the implemented movement education and the educational game program have positive effects on the basic motor skills and quality of life of the children with autism.
